The IPM MasterClass is a unique education format bringing internationally recognised leaders in their respective fields to our regions to share methods at the forefront of improving agronomy for all growers of plants and crops, and the people supporting growers. The IPM MasterClass is a an avenue to use education as a tool for improving the skills of growers and managers, and promote better decision making.

�Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is the central theme in plant and environmental management around the world and promises to overcome many concerns of plant management and pesticide misuse� says Darren Cribbes, Managing Director of Turfgrass Systems. �Yet IPM has not been comprehensively adopted due to concerns regarding inconsistent implementation models, and ever present demand for immediate results. Soil, plant and environmental management is still too often considered on a case by case basis. The IPM MasterClass series addresses these issues and provides hands-on learning for participants to take initiatives back to the workplace and make changes. �

The IPM MasterClass connects the concept of IPM to research and practice. Through the IPM MasterClass respected Professors and Researchers are invited to educate on IPM research and practice. We introduce an IPM management model, and during the class assist attendees in developing practical management frameworks that supports sound decisions relating to sustainable management and the environment.

The next series of IPM MasterClasses will be held during winter of 2008.
