Agronomy Results This series of photographs were taken over a period of four years. The Club undertook a major commitment to comprehensive improvement. The Club wanted the golf course to remain open throughout all work. This commitment saw the outstanding improvements achieved as the photographs show. Also undertaken was a commitment to a Machinery Replacement Plan and a new Staffing Strategy, strategically tied to the entire project.
Typical fairway condition - 1995. Soil assessment including nutrition, physical texture and microbiology led to the maintenance plan including composting. O.M. Management and cultural practices to meet play requirements.
Observation trials of a new grass variety into the existing fairway began in 1994. Trials were extensive to understand:
